Since I was a kid I was never a sporty person. The only activities I enjoyed were video games and eating, which unsurprisingly led me to become very overweight. By my Senior year in High School I weighed about 245lbs and was incredibly out of shape and I knew that was not how I wanted to start my life. As a birthday gift my mother got me 3 weeks of personal training so I could learn how to get started in the gym, and after those weeks were up I continued exercising on my own. I developed a passion for weightlifting and I made use of my nerdy skills I had prior to study everything I could know about the science of the body on my own time. Four years later I am 170lbs and can deadlift 400lbs and still improving.
